The FSPHP would like to invite you to attend the 2021 FSPHP Annual Education Conference & Business Meeting on Thursday, April 29 - Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Minneapolis, MN.  Our annual conference is attended by over 250 state physician health program administrators, care providers, and allied health professionals dedicated to the mission of the FSPHP and its member state programs. This is a unique opportunity to network with professionals dedicated to issues of physician well-being, including the treatment of substance use disorders and mental illness facing physicians and other licensed healthcare professionals in the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world.
The FSPHP is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to provide a forum for education and exchange of information among state physician health programs; to develop common objectives and goals; to develop guidelines; to enhance awareness of issues related to physician health and impairment; to provide advocacy for physicians and their health issues at local, state, and national levels; and to assist state programs in their quest to protect the public. Our mission is to support physician health programs in improving the health of medical professionals, thereby contributing to quality patient care.

  • The Mall of America is one of the largest malls in America

  • The Mary Tyler Moore Show was based on the life of a 30-year-old woman from Minneapolis.

  • 11 acres of more than 40 permanent art installations, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is the largest urban sculpture garden in the country. 

  • The greater Twin Cities area has one of the highest concentrations of Fortune 500 Companies in the country. 17 corporate behemoths—including Target, Best Buy, General Mills, and Land O’Lakes—currently call the region home.

  • The Mississippi River stretches from northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. While many urban areas lie along the river's expanse, St. Paul boasts more city shoreline along the Mississippi than any other city. 

  • St. Paul is home to Summit Avenue, the country's longest preserved avenue of Victorian houses and buildings. The street is lined with giant, Gilded Age homes, including 36,000-square-foot mansion of James J. Hill, who was once the richest man in Minnesota. 

  • Peanuts creator Charles Shulz was born in Minneapolis and grew up in St. Paul. As a teenager in Minnesota, Schulz drew his very first published illustration—a picture of his dog, Spike, which he submitted to Ripley's Believe It or Not!
