Mary Ellen Caiati, MD

Dr. Caiati received degrees in English and mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, after which she worked for several years with emotionally disturbed children in the Seattle area. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Washington, she completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Colorado where she served as chief resident.

Dr. Caiati has provided clinical service in a variety of settings, including  treating undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Denver Student Health Center, working with patients with HIV and AIDS at the Infectious Disease Clinic at Denver Health Hospital, treating chronically mentally ill adults at the Boulder Mental Health Center, and treating adults with a variety of psychiatric problem in private practice in central Denver since 2000.  She has served as a trustee for the Colorado Psychiatric Society.  She is board certified in psychiatry and has completed the Psychotherapy Training Program at the Denver Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Caiati has served as Associate Medical Director at the Colorado Physician Health Program since 2004, where she is committed to working with physicians with serious health problems and other challenges that may affect their ability to practice medicine.
