Mrs. Bresnahan joined the Federation of State Physicians Health Programs in July 2016 as Executive Director. She works in collaboration with the FSPHP Board of Directors to implement and manage the FSPHP strategic priorities including accountability, consistency and excellence for its member Physician Health Programs. She is involved in policy development, organizational development, fiscal planning, membership support, recruitment and the renewal processes, membership communications, conference planning, website content, media relations, committee meetings, publications and special projects. She collaborates extensively with external organizations including the American Medical Association and the Federation of State Medical Boards. She also serves as the coordinator and participant in strategic planning processes.
Prior to her role with the FSPHP, she worked at the Massachusetts Medical Society and its Physician Health Program since 1991. Mrs. Bresnahan received her bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in management information systems from Boston College and her master of science in health care management with a concentration on substance abuse services from Lesley College. She has worked within membership associations in the area of physician health for more than 28 years.
