Chris Bundy, MD, MPH, FAPA, FASAM Chief Medical Officer of FSPHP Executive Medical Director of the Washington Physicians Health Program
Dr. Bundy is Executive Medical Director of the Washington Physicians Health Program and Chief Medical Officer of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs. He is board-certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry and addiction medicine and is clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Dr. Bundy draws on his experience as a healthcare leader, medical educator, and physician in recovery to support education and advocacy efforts related to physician health and well-being. For this work, Dr. Bundy has been the grateful recipient of the President’s Unsung Hero Award from the Washington State Medical Association.

Lisa Merlo, PhD, MPE Assoc. Professor of Psychiatry, University of Florida Director of Research, Professionals Resource Network, Inc.
Dr. Lisa Merlo is a licensed clinical psychologist and professor of psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Merlo earned her B.A. from Transylvania University (summa cum laude), then completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Wayne State University. She completed postdoctoral training in clinical child psychology at the University of Florida, then earned a second master's degree in psychiatric epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis while completing postdoctoral training in substance use disorder epidemiology and prevention. Dr. Merlo's research focuses on physicians and other healthcare professionals with potentially-impairing conditions, and wellbeing among physicians and physicians-in-training. She currently serves as the Director of Research for the Professionals Resource Network, Inc. (Florida's PHP) and the Director of Wellness Programs for the University of Florida College of Medicine.

FSPHP Annual Member Business Meeting (Virtual) May 22, 2026; 1:00pm - 3:00pm Eastern Time
FSPHP invites all State-Voting, Associate, International, and Honorary Members to attend its virtual Annual Member Business Meeting on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM EDT. The meeting will include a review of organizational priorities, a treasurer’s report, recognition of new members, committee updates, and the announcement of 2026 ballot results, including the installation of the next President. Regional breakout sessions will be held to elect representatives to the Nominating Committee.
Members are encouraged to join a committee or renew their participation, with committee appointments confirmed in June.
The meeting will also honor FSPHP colleagues who have passed away since the last gathering.
There is no fee to attend, but attendance will be tracked. Roll call begins promptly at 1:00 PM EDT—please log in on time and enter your name upon joining.

FSPHP Open Forum Leadership Series
The FSPHP Open Forum Leadership Series is a platform for FSPHP Member PHP leaders to engage in open discussions, share best practices, share updates, and foster collaboration and innovation within the organizations, and address critical issues affecting physician & professional health programs.
These informal, open-forum discussions will be held via Zoom and will not include agendas, PowerPoint presentations, or the taking of minutes.
The FSPHP Open Forum Leadership meetings are open to FSPHP PHP Members that identify as part of their leadership team, including executives, directors, and department heads.

FSPHP Regional Member Meetings The purpose of these meetings is to share experiences, discuss and develop best practices, and enhance awareness of issues related to physician health and impairment.
Who Attends: FSPHP Regional Member Meetings are designed for Physician Health Program members (State, Associate, Honorary and International PHP members), yet a portion of the meeting will be open to all FSPHP Member Categories.
